Fashion Discrimination...

Have you ever....

Let me give you the scenario that I have encountered:

Scenario 1: Have you ever gone shopping at some high-end fashion boutique or clothing store in your plain Jane clothing? maybe a sweatshirt, jeans or basically very comfortable in your mind. And as soon as you step foot in the door you get these glares like why would someone like yourself be shopping in that store. Maybe because it looks as if I have no money or can’t afford the clothing in the store. As you walk around no one bothers to help you, or they look at you as if you want to take the clothing. How annoying is that, have any of you experienced this while shopping? This form of stereotyping because you just aren’t dressed to their standards or caliber.

Although on the other hand I have been in situations when I am dressed to the tee with my true religion jeans, top, Stuart Weitzman shoes and my Louis purse. Go into a store and have people basically bowing to service me. Or even people running to get to me first because of how I am dressed, they believe I am going to purchase just enough to pay their salary for the day from commission. I just can’t stand how stereotypical people can be just because of how you dress or look. Have any of you ever experienced this?

you are right, sometimes when I go shopping I feel uncomfortable because the people that work in the store are just following you around like if I was going to take something. They also give ugly looks like telling me that I don't belong there. But I have the right to go in and look and if I like something buy it or not.
